August 16, 2010: An open message from Pastor David to the WhiteRose congregation:
"It's been a wonderful vacation and an opportunity for my family to take a much-needed break from the normal routine, but that couldn't have happened without the amazing, ongoing contributions of many highly dedicated volunteers at WhiteRose. Your desire to minister to others; to share your lives, your talents, your spiritual gifts; the giving of your valuable time and generous financial contributions which make the ministry called WhiteRose a reality... all of these make the ministry of being the Senior Pastor an absolute joy! Thank you to all those who picked up extra responsibilities to make it possible for us to take our break. A special "thanks" goes to both Mr. Brad Ulick, and Mr. Kim Riggenbach, both of whom did a wonderful job of teaching at the Sunday morning services. It was wonderful to be back with the congregation on Sunday morning and to be the recipient of your friendship and kind words and thoughts. Diane and I can say from the depth of our hearts that we love each and every one of you, and we're thrilled to be a part of this amazing move of God called WhiteRose!"
Thanks for a Great Season!
This season's "Friday Night at the Movies" has concluded with the final Friday night movie on July 30 and we want to thank all those who stopped by The 505 and enjoyed the fun! We also want to say "thanks" to all those WhiteRose volunteers who helped make the event a reality with their time and efforts! We had a great season of free outdoor movies and popcorn and we're glad to have been able to serve our neighbors! See you next summer, 2011!
WOW! God is GOOD!
As we look back upon our week of SonQuest Rainforest and all the related activities, we REJOICE! With a high attendance of 68 kids each night on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, AND 12 children deciding to embrace a personal relationship with God, we are thrilled, humbled, and overjoyed with God's blessings! ALSO, our July 25th Sunday service Children's Program concluded the week on a completely joyful and hyper-enthusiastic note, as 145 people attended a song-filled and energetic SonQuest Rainforest-themed morning, complete with video presentations, and a live skit performed by Kookie Craig and Company! (More SonQuest news, photos, etc, at this link).
God's Blessings Continue!
SonQuest Rainforest 2010 Children's Camp began with a wet and wild Friday evening for the kids in the neighborhood! A giant, inflatable water ride, games, and fun were experienced by all the kids who attended! Following the fun, Family Movie Night began with 55 people attending for the entertaining film, "Monsters Vs. Aliens", free popcorn, and great weather! THEN, Sunday evening - July 18 - officially kicked off SonQuest Rainforest with more fun, groups for all ages, and lots (and lots) of singing and laughter provided by The SonQuest Band and Kookie Craig!

A Great Sunday!
Those gathered at The 505 on Sunday, July 11th had the marvelous opportunity to hear the heart and thoughts of Peoria-area radio personality Mr. Jamie Markley, formerly of Rock 106 FM, WMBD AM, and now 102.3 MAX FM. In an interview format with Pastor David, Jamie shared his to-the-heart, raw and real, personal story including how God has helped him experience life these days free from the past destructive grip of alcohol and drugs. If you're interested in hearing this service, listen to it by clicking on the podcast tab. (Podcast available at this link, posted under Individual messages/non series). Pictured is Jamie (left) with one of the WhiteRose elders, Mr, Craig Mitzelfelt.
...and More Baptisms!
The rejoicing continues at WhiteRose as two more individuals who recently decided to accept a personal relationship with God took the step of baptism on Sunday, June 27! We are delighted for Jeremmie Marks, and Ms. Sunny Olsen, and we pray that their walk with Christ would be positive, empowered, and life-changing!
